Going Coastal, Inc. is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational, cultural and publishing organization dedicated to connecting people to coastal resources by raising awareness of the immense value of the coastal environment, encouraging a sense of community and common history and promoting preservation, protection and conservation.

Going Coastal has been a drum major for the urban coast since 2003. Through the efforts of our volunteers and information initiatives, we encourage adults and children to appreciate, enjoy, and preserve it. We publish books, create maps, and produce educational and cultural programs to foster a personal connection between people and coastal environments.
