The primary purpose for the booklist is to provide a guide to current titles we believe will be of interest to anyone who actively explores the world around us, loves nature, in particular the coast, appreciates science and values history. Titles are chosen for reasons relating to both subjects and quality. We search for books that offer new scientific and historical insights, entertain and nurture love for book collecting. Our rating system is a shortcut answer to the three main questions about title’s quality - is the book entertaining, does it say something new about its’ subject, and is the title unique enough to qualify as a "must have" for serious collectors. A rare fiction title that makes it on to our booklist is marked by a gold frame.
