Going Coastal ™ New York City is the first in a series of coastal guidebooks published by Going Coastal, Inc. The guide is designed to make the coast more accessible and meet the needs of anyone interested in water-based activities in the City of New York .
The guide is divided into three parts:
Go Coastal - A circumferential tour of the five boroughs featuring the waterfront sights, parks and cultural attractions. It provides practical details about each location and is illustrated throughout with representational maps designed to facilitate the reader's orientation.
Get Wet - An easy to use alphabetical guide to recreational, sports and cultural activities available in the waters that surround New York City . Each feature is introduced by distinguished residents who share their knowledge and personal experiences of the New York waterfront. Throughout the section, notable nautical New Yorkers are highlighted in brief biographies. The maps in this section show where a particular attraction is situated.
